Allied Health Science:

After an initial training in basic sciences students who opt for specialised cardiac training are enrolled into this programme. It consists of a 3- year intensive course in invasive & non - invasive cardiology producing highly skilled technicians, per fusionists & critical care assisstants.

DM Cardiology ( Post Doctoral Qualification )
Total training period - 3 years
Components of training period include

Clinical cardiology

Non-invasive cardiology

Invasive cardiology

Electrophysiology & its application

Clinical & basic research

Preventive cardiology

Epidemiology

Examinations will be conducted at the end of three years which will comprise of
           4 Theory papers ( 3 Hours each )
           Clinical Examination (1 long case, 2 short cases, spotters & viva )
           A minimum mark of 50% in each theory paper and 50% in each component
              of clinical examination is required to pass.
Students are also expected to complete and produce their Dissertation six months prior to their examinations.

MD General (Post Graduate Qualification)

The postgraduate students of internal medicine are periodically rotated for month long postings of intensive cardiac coaching & bi weekly bed side clinics.

PHYSIOTHERAPHY:

The students from the department of physiotheraphy are periodically rotated for classes on normal cardiac anatomy and physiology in health and in disease aiding them in better interpretting and applying their skills.
