Dr. Sai Satish M.D.
A registrar at the Cardiac Care Centre of the Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute (SRMC) since June 2003, Dr Sai Satish is currently pursuing his post-doctoral qualification in Cardiology. However, his association with SRMC began in 1991, when he joined here as an undergraduate medical student. He excelled in his academics and headed various sports and cultural teams.

Dr. Satish then went to M.R. Medical College, Gulbarga, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Karnataka, for his MD in General Medicine.

His keen interest in patient education coupled with his ability to link medicine and information technology has, under the guidance of the Cardiac Care Centre Director Prof. S Thanikachalam, resulted in various innovative programmes. One among them is this website, an information-education-communication package for patients.

Dr Georgey Koshy Kunnumpuram
M.B.B.S., M.D. (GEN.MED)
He finished his MBBS at Kasturba Medical College Manipal and followed up with an MD in Internal Medicine at the same institute. He has a keen interest in teaching in addition to being a practitioner hence joined as a Post doctoral fellow in Internal Medicine at KMC Manipal prior to following up his further interest in the line of cardiology. He since joined as a Special trainee in Cardiology at SRMC & RI Chennai under professor S.Thanikachalam and is presently doing his DM (Cardiology) under him. His goal is to acquire a deep insight into the subject of cardiology and grow with it as it rapidly progresses into the future.

Dr.Ajay Kumar Nair
M.B.B.S., M.D. (GEN.MED)

Dr. Nair got his MBBS degree from Trivandrum Medical College under University of Kerala (1995), followed by a M.D in internal medicine from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore(1999). His keen Interest in academics and undergraduate teaching urged him to take up the post of Assistant professor of medicine for 2 years in SRMC & RI, Chennai. between 2000 to 2002. Furthering his special interest in cardiology, he joined the post doctoral course DM(CARDIOLOGY) in the year 2002 at SRMC &RI under Prof .S. Thanikachalam. His areas of interest are Electro physiology and Cardiac Ultrasonography.

Dr. B. Madhan Mohan
M.B.B.S., M.D. (GEN.MED),
Dr. Madan finished his MBBS from Madras University. He joined MD General Medicine in Madras Medical College & went on to become a fully practicing internist before deciding to follow a course in cardiology. Presently a registrar in cardiology at SRMC & RI he has a special interest in the field of experimental cardiology and genetics.

Dr.Binoy John
M.B.B.S., M.D. (GEN.MED)
Dr. Binoy John born in December 1970 in Trivandrum, Kerala started his education from the prestigious Loyola School Trivandrum and furthered his degrees in M.B.B.S and M.D in General Medicine from the prestigious Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. In the interim he also underwent special training under the guidance of various renowned faculties in the various sub-specialties in Medicine with special regard in Rheumatology and thereafter in the field of Cardiology at Medical College Hospital, Trivandrum. He joined as trainee and thereafter as a Registrar in the Department of Cardiology, Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai under the guidance of Prof. S. Thanikachalam. During this period he has participated in various academic and research activities and undergone basic training in the upcoming facets of pacemaker and interventional therapeutics.

Dr.Rajiv Varghese

Dr.Varghese obtained his MBBS from St.Johns Medical College,Bangalore in 1991, MD(Gen.Med) in1996 from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal and is currently pursuing DM(Cardiology) course at SRMC, Chennai due to complete inJune 2004.He has worked for two years post MBBS at St.John`s Medical College, Bangalore as Casualty Medical Officer and Senior House Officer and for nearly five years as Asst.Professor in Medicine at KMC, Manipal post MD before joining for Post Doctoral DM(Cardiology) in June 2001, at SRMC, Chennai.

Dr.Varghese has keen interest in Clinical, Academic and Research activities.He has successfully completed three research projects during his MD and DM courses, apart from having a couple of publications in National and International journals.Has attended various state level, National and International conferences and presented papers at State level and National Conferences at Delhi, Jaipur and Calcutta and has Co-authored a chapter in Medicine Update `Diagnostic Approach to Acute Coronary Syndrome` .He has taken part in Angioplasty, Cardiac Pacemaker workshops and Teaching Learning workshops.Areas of special interest are Critical Care and Invasive Cardiology.
